Members of the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation on Tuesday elected Woodrow Star to the Board of Trustees, the Tribe’s governing body.

The vacancy on the Board was created in May with the resignation of BOT Member-At-Large Julie Taylor who took a job as the CTUIR’s Director of Children and Family Services.

394 of the 2,068 eligible voters cast a ballot in this election.  116 of those were absentee ballots.

Mr. Star will take office Monday, Aug. 13 in an 8 a.m. swearing-in ceremony at the Nixyaawii Governance Center.  The public is invited to attend.

Following are the election results showing the number of votes received for each of the candidates who were officially on the ballot.
